Message from the President

Hello Guild Members,

Your Symphony Guild board is busy at work with our 2016-2017 season events.

As students are preparing to start their school year, we are planning music education programs for school aged students. Research shows, that exposure and participation in music helps young people become better students in all of their studies.

Thank you for your continued support with membership renewals and donations. These funds help the Guild to continue being an active participant in music education in our area schools.

Best regards,

The Guild Will Benefit From Sales of a Book Written by Member Chuck Miller

The Hot Springs/Hot Springs Village Symphony Guild will benefit from the sale of a book written by Hot Springs Village writer Chuck Miller.  Chuck is a free-lance golf and travel writer, motivational speaker, and radio personality.  He will donate $2 for each book sold during August and September to the Guild.

In his book, Golfing the U.S. – Reflections on a 50-Week, 50-State Golf Odyssey, Chuck takes his readers on a vicarious 21,503 mile road trip throughout the United States as he reflects on his 2012 50-week, 50-state golf adventure. He writes about the 141 courses he played, the 126 hotels, motels and B&B’s he stayed in, and the good, bad and ugly incidents that happened to him during his eleven and one-half months on the road.

According to those who have read his book, it is a fun, easy, and entertaining read for anyone who enjoys golf, travel, or reading about places they have visited, or may wish to visit.

He will autograph copies of his book on Tuesday August 16 from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Desoto Club.  Also, anyone here in the Village that can't attend the book signing can contact Chuck before September 1st at Chuck@TheTravelingGuy.com, and he will autograph a book and arrange to get it to them.  The price at the book signing and for orders placed with Chuck by September 1st, is $14.95.

Chuck will also donate $2.00 from every book purchased during August and September from his publisher, CreateSpace, at CreateSpace.com.  Books purchased from his publisher at CreateSpace.com are $14.95 plus shipping and handling.
