Renewable and merit (one time) college scholarships are available to students enrolled in schools located in Garland County who will major in music or music education. The Symphony Guild also administers the Hot Springs Jazz Society scholarship program for music majors participating in a jazz program or pursuing jazz studies. The eligibility requirements for both Symphony Guild and Jazz Society scholarships are the same. Please read the eligibility requirements to determine if you qualify to submit an application. Decision will be announced no later than the end of May. Funds will be distributed directly to the schools that students will be attending. Scholarship and Merit Award recipients should be sure that the Scholarship Chairperson has the correct name and address for the department/person at the school who should receive the funds. Scholarship Renewals
Scholarship awards are renewable at lessor amounts in subsequent years. To renew a scholarship, the student must provide, by July 1,
Symphony Guild Merit Awards and Jazz Society scholarships are one-time awards. Guild Merit Award and Jazz Society winners may apply for a scholarship in subsequent years.
Scholarship Committee Notes: Original format documents for the cover letter to the schools, eligibility requirements, audition application, and the audition administration form are stored in the Education folder and accessible by the Webmaster should they need to be revised in the future.
