Where fine music is a way of life!
An elegant, sophisticated evening is in store on Nov. 12 for Symphony Guild members and guests attending the much-anticipated 2015 Soiree, “A Date With Cole Porter,” an evening steeped in classics of American music.
Fine dining, live musical entertainment, and an amazing selection of silent and live auction items are all features of the Guild’s major 2015 fund raising event. Items generously donated by a wide circle of Guild supporters and friends, will be offered for bidding with all proceeds directed to the Guild’s philanthropic musical and arts education endeavors.
The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar and a stroll through extensive silent and super silent auctions. Dinner, catered by well-known Chef Johnna Westerman, will be served at 6:30 at handsomely appointed tables designed by Jeanne Ballard.
But the evening is young. An exciting and competitive live auction follows dinner and will be succeeded by dancing to the Rick Dimond Combo. Dimond is principal timpanist with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and professor of music at Henderson State University. Prepare to revel in the signature compositions of American icon, Cole Porter.
