Don’t miss the Gala of the year, “A Night in the Aegean" presented by the Hot Springs/Hot Springs Village Symphony Guild on Thursday November 3, 2022 at the Coronado Center. There are a few tables available. The special menu created by Bertha Gianulis, chairperson for the Gala, includes Greek Salad, Mediterranean Chicken, Pork Souvlaki, Greek Lasagna, and vegetables. Dessert will be baklava and tira misu. Two bottles of wine will be at each table. Bertha and her husband Bill are first generation Greeks and they will be preparing some of these delicious dishes.
During the cocktail hour you will be entertained by Kosta Kostanis Trio Band. Kosta is an accomplished composer, singer and guitarist from Athens, Greece who has been involved in the Greek music scene for over 40 years. Also, a special drink is being offered, The Americano (Campari, sweet vermouth and a splash of club soda). This was the first cocktail ordered by James Bond in "Casino Royale."
As in previous Guild Galas, there will be a Silent Auction benefiting the Guild's Music Education programs for Garland County students. All proceeds from this event fund music education programs for area students. One of the special items is a glass bowl, hand blown by James Hayes of Pine Bluff. Other items include a bracelet donated by Sissy’s Log Cabin, dinner for 6 by Bill and Bertha Gianulis, weekend getaways, golf packages, etc.
This will truly be a fun evening! Cocktail hour begins at 5:30 pm and dinner begins at 6:30 pm. Jackets (black tie optional) are recommended for gentlemen. Dinner seating is at tables of 8. Tickets are $75 each and are available for purchase through ThunderTix. If you are not purchasing an entire table, please use the Comments section on the ticketing site to indicate who you would like to sit with.
If you have questions, you may call Bertha Gianulis, committee chairperson, at 817-690-9699.
